Pool Essentials

This is a small list of the essentials I like to have with me when I go swimming at the indoor pool :) I didn't include some of the more obvious options like bathing suits and diapers...
I always have a pair of flip flops in my bag that I can wear and I always wash them in the washing machine with the rest of the towels and bathing suits when I get home so they are clean and ready to go for the next time :)
I bring a sippy cup with water for my son to have for the car ride home ~ swimming makes you so thirsty! We also have a little bit of drive and it is usually getting close to lunch so I will sometimes pack a bottle if I need it and a snack or two! :)
Hand sanitizer spray is also another must! Although it serves a similar purpose as the wipes -- I like to to keep in on hand incase and it may be easier to grab the sanitizer over the wipes depending on the situation!
A couple towels are essential! While this is another obvious choice I always make sure I have a couple with me!
I decided to go with the reusable swim diaper to save on disposable ones and since we only go to the indoor pool once a week it is always clean and ready to go in my swim bag ~ I only need one for now :)
I like to have a change of clothes for my son just incase!! I always have this in my diaper bag too but I don't usually bring my swim bag and diaper bag when I go swimming and just keep a few little extra 'diaper bag essentials' in my swim bag to keep things as simple as possible!
I always keep wipes for obvious reasons but also to wipe hands, the stroller, the change table, everything and anything ~ these are handy to have at all times!!
I also keep a wet bag in my swim bag for all the wet bathing suits, towels, and flip flops, etc. I also keep two other cloth bags ( mine are actually both grey Honest Company bags I received with a purchase and the other one was included in my diaper bag) in my swim bag for my sons clothes and one for my clothes so that when we are done swimming and getting dress I pull each bag out and and all our clothes are in there -- I don't have to go searching for little socks at the bottom of my swim bag :) This little trick has been a game changer and makes changing so much quicker! :)
Coconut oil is also a must have! With so many uses ~ I love to have it with me :) I buy a large container at Costso so I just take a small jar of it in my swim bag! The number one reason I have this is to put on my son before we go in the pool to help keep his skin moisturized as well as prevent the chorine (as much as possible) from irritating his skin! I will also use it as a quick moisturizer, balm for the ends of my hair, lip balm, and a little highlight :)
